Young Wildlife Champions Raise Over £280 for Cornish Seal Sanctuary
In an inspiring show of support, sisters Ariana, 7, and Zara Barnes, 4, have raised £282.54 for the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, thanks to their creative fundraising efforts. The young animal lovers sold bracelets, cakes, and sweets after a visit to the Sanctuary last year sparked their passion for seal conservation.
Sealing the Deal with Sweet Sales
Ariana and Zara’s dedication to seal welfare didn’t stop at sales; Ariana took it a step further by sharing fun facts about seals with her friends and encouraging everyone to visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
Aiming for a Conservationist Future
Ariana, who aspires to become a wildlife conservationist, hopes her efforts contribute to the Sanctuary’s work, with dreams of one day helping to rescue a seal herself. The Sanctuary publicly thanked the sisters, calling their contribution a “big sealy THANK YOU,” celebrating the positive influence their work has had on both their community and the animals.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary continues to offer opportunities for visitors to support seal rescue efforts, with stories like Ariana and Zara’s showcasing how even the smallest contributions can help make a big difference.
