Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue Appeals for Information Following Fly Tipping Incident

Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue, a dedicated wildlife rescue organisation, has issued an urgent appeal for information this week following a regrettable fly tipping incident that occurred directly outside their new site.

The unauthorised disposal of waste not only poses a significant environmental hazard but also represents an offence under local regulations.

The waste, discovered outside the organisation’sorganisation’s premises, consisted of various materials, including foam sprayed insulation and rockwool type insulation pieces. Additionally, the presence of polystyrene packaging, notably branded with “Capital Cooling” adhesive tape, hints at the involvement of industrial activities, given the company’s known production of industrial refrigeration units. Adding to the clues, paper bags from a renowned Cornish bakery were also found amidst the rubbish, suggesting the waste originated from a location in mid Cornwall.

The cleanup operation has since been completed, ensuring the site and surrounding area are clear of the hazardous materials. However, Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue is proactively seeking any leads that could assist in identifying the parties responsible for the illegal dumping. They emphasise that the site which underwent the insulation work might not be aware of the contractor’s actions to dispose of the waste unlawfully.
