Discover the Birds of Cornwall: Interactive Workshops with Expert Paul Freestone

The Cornwall Bird Watching & Preservation Society (CBWPS) has collaborated with renowned Cornwall birding guide, Paul Freestone, to offer specialised bird identification workshops. Designed primarily for beginners, these sessions aim to equip participants with the skills to identify birds by both sight and sound in Cornwall’s diverse habitats.

Led by Paul Freestone, the workshops will take place in various natural settings across Cornwall, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. The focus is on small group settings, with each session limited to eight people, to provide personalised attention and make the most of Freestone’s expertise.

Workshop Schedule:

  • Birds of the Hayle Estuary: Sunday, 3rd March 2024, at 8.30 am
  • Bodmin Moor: Saturday, 13th April 2024, from 8.30 am to 1 pm
  • Golitha Falls (Woodland Birds): Saturday, 27th April 2024, at 8.30 am

Pricing:

  • Cornwall Birds members: £30.00 (membership number required)
  • Non-members: £35.00

These workshops are a unique opportunity for bird enthusiasts to learn bird identification skills in a practical setting, guided by one of Cornwall’s most experienced birding guides.
