A free talk scheduled for 14th May is set to captivate nature enthusiasts with fascinating insights into the world of native seals.
The presentation, titled “7 Wonders, 7 Stories and 7 Ways to Help,” promises to offer a unique look into the remarkable lives of these marine mammals. The event will start at 18:00 and is being organised by the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust.
Discovering the Amazing Abilities of Seals
The talk, led by Sue Sayer MBE, will cover a range of captivating topics including the seals’ unique senses, their impressive reflexes, and even their endearing behaviour known as ‘bananaing’. Attendees will also learn about the animals’ exceptional dive adaptations, pup growth, and the challenges they face during their annual moult.
Celebrity Seal Stories and More
Sue, the Founder and Director of the Seal Research Trust, will share inspiring celebrity seal stories and highlight how these animals each have unique personalities, habits, and migration routes around the Celtic Sea.
How to Help Seals
In addition to sharing fascinating insights, the talk aims to empower attendees with knowledge on how they can help seals. The presentation will highlight seven ways to assist these incredible creatures, contributing to the charity’s mission of “sharing our seas successfully”.
