A baby seal stranded among rocks was rescued by British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) South West Region, with the story shared by Jodie, who witnessed the event while rock hopping nearby.

Jodie didn’t initially spot the seal but observed the BDMLR team as they carried out the rescue. The pup, found dehydrated and with dry eyes, was carefully given fluids by Michaela from BDMLR to aid its recovery. The team then relocated the seal to a quieter area to rest and regain strength.

Praise for Marine Rescuers

Although Jodie was asked to maintain a safe distance, she later spoke with Michaela, who reassured her that the seal was doing well. She expressed her appreciation for BDMLR’s dedication to protecting marine life.
