Think Cornwall’s Bins Are Overflowing? Here’s What You Can Do About It
Cornwall Council is urging everyone to do their bit to help keep Cornwall tidy this summer, whether you’re in town, by the coast or out in the countryside.
Bin it or take it home
In a short message posted on Facebook, the council reminded people to either use a bin or take their rubbish home with them, helping to keep public spaces clean and safe for everyone.
If you do come across a bin that’s overflowing or damaged, Cornwall Council is asking the public to report it online. This applies to several types of bins including:
-
Barbeque bins
-
Dog waste bins
-
Standard litter bins
-
Combined litter and dog waste bins
-
Street recycling bins
How to report a bin problem
Anyone can use the council’s online form to report an issue with a litter bin that needs:
-
Emptying
-
Repairing
-
Relocating
-
Removing
The interactive map shows the different bin types and lets you flag a problem in just a few steps. The process is straightforward and can help keep things in order before rubbish starts to pile up.
