Appeal After Woman Airlifted in Serious Wadebridge Collision
Incident at Wadebridge Medical Centre
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Wadebridge left a woman in her 80s with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services were called to Wadebridge Medical Centre at around 2.55pm on Tuesday, 25th February, following reports of a crash involving a red Vauxhall Corsa and a white Nissan van at the exit onto Jubilee Road.
Car Collides with Parked Van and Stone Wall
The Vauxhall, driven by a local man in his 80s, struck the unattended Nissan in the car park before colliding with a stone wall at the exit.
The front-seat passenger, a local woman in her 80s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries, though these were not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
Police Investigation and Witness Appeal
Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team, along with local response officers, attended the scene. The road was closed for investigations and reopened at around 9pm.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward. Information can be submitted via the police website or by calling 101, quoting log 442 of 25/2/25.
