Truro Rangers Step Up: Tackling Crime with Foot Patrols and Hot Spot Policing
Truro has been benefiting from a visible security presence for 18 months, with a team known as the Truro Rangers taking to the streets as a deterrent against low-level crime and violence against shop workers. This vital security measure is funded by Truro BID, which provides 56 hours of foot patrols per week.
Evening Patrols and Hot Spot Policing
In addition to the regular patrols, both the local police and the Truro Rangers have been ramping up their efforts. Over the last few months, these patrols have been boosted by Government-funded Hot Spot Policing, along with additional evening patrols by the Rangers. The aim is to disrupt crime and promote impactful community engagement.
The combined efforts of Truro’s local police and the Truro Rangers continue to offer a much-needed resource for the city, helping maintain safety and security for both businesses and residents.
