Truro Countryside Rangers Tackle Fallen Tree with Digger on Riverside Track
In a recent effort to restore access to Truro’s Riverside Track, the Countryside Rangers and maintenance team joined forces to clear a large fallen tree that had blocked the river pathway. The tree, which fell across the river a few weeks ago, presented a substantial challenge and required heavy equipment, including a digger, to be safely removed.
Clearing the Path for Nature and Visitors
The task of clearing the tree was no small feat. With the help of maintenance colleagues, the Rangers carefully cut up the tree and removed it from the river. The branches and logs were then repurposed into habitat piles, providing new shelters for local wildlife along the river’s edge.
Path Repairs After Heavy Machinery Use
Once the tree was cleared, the team noticed that sections of the pathway had been churned up by the digger during the removal process. To address this, additional stone was laid on the track to repair and reinforce the pathway, ensuring it’s safe and accessible for visitors once again.
The Countryside Rangers have extended their gratitude to the maintenance team for their support, encouraging everyone to enjoy the newly restored Riverside Track.
