Treyew Road Transformation: Have Your Say on Truro’s New Neighbourhood Plans
Community Consultation Set for 27th November
Residents of Truro are being invited to share their views on the redevelopment of the former Cornwall Council Office Campus on Treyew Road. Cornish developer Treveth has announced plans to create a vibrant new neighbourhood on the 2.6-hectare site, aiming to enhance social connections and provide high-quality housing for local people.
A public consultation event will take place on Wednesday, 27th November, from 1.30pm to 6.30pm at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY. This drop-in session will offer attendees the chance to review detailed proposals, meet the Treveth team, and provide feedback.
What’s Being Proposed?
The Treyew Road redevelopment will feature approximately 120 new homes catering to a mix of housing needs, including open market rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership options. The first phase will deliver 53 homes, ranging from one to four bedrooms, prioritised for individuals with local connections or those working in the area.
Emma Rodgers, Senior Development Manager at Treveth, shared:
“Our first community event which took place earlier in September was really well attended and provided us with some valuable input that we have considered when developing our design proposals for the site. We’re looking forward to meeting with local residents again and providing the opportunity to view these detailed proposals.
“The community’s feedback will help us positively shape the future of this key site, by improving community spaces and providing new homes for local people.
“Attendees will be able to see display boards which give a sense of what the new neighbourhood could look like, alongside receiving more information about the types of homes that will be coming, as well as Treveth’s approach to sustainability.”
How to Get Involved
For those unable to attend in person, an online consultation will be available. From 27th November to 13th December, the community can view the proposals and submit feedback via the Treyew Road consultation webpage.
A Focus on Cornwall’s Needs
Since its founding in 2019, Treveth has focused on creating sustainable communities across Cornwall. With over 420 homes currently under construction in areas such as Tolgus, Liskeard, Newquay, and Bodmin, Treveth’s developments aim to improve housing availability and quality for local residents.
The Treyew Road project is the latest in a series of efforts by the B Corp-certified developer to deliver modern, eco-conscious homes that benefit Cornish communities.
