Tregony C P School is celebrating after being rated ‘Good’ in its Ofsted inspection, held on 5th and 6th November 2024. Inspectors praised the school for fostering a positive and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and proud to attend.

Key strengths identified in the report included the warm relationships between staff and pupils, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The commitment to reading also stood out, with inspectors highlighting the consistency and precision of the school’s phonics programme. “Staff implement the phonics programme with consistency and precision. They place a sharp focus on ensuring all pupils can read fluently,” the report noted.

Leadership Commended for Staff Support

The leadership team at Tregony C P School was recognised for its effective engagement with staff and for creating a positive work environment. The report stated, “The school engages well with staff when considering any changes or improvements. Staff are valued and supported. They are proud to work at the school.”
