Special service for Truro Classic Car Show on 6th July

For the first time ever, Truro’s Park and Ride will be running on a Sunday – but only from the Tregurra site – to help people get to the Truro Classic Car Show taking place on Sunday 6th July.

The shuttle service will run between Tregurra (TR1 1RH) and the city centre, dropping passengers at Quay Street, just a short walk from the event. The journey takes around six minutes, and the special service is being laid on through a partnership between Truro BID and Cornwall Council. The Park and Ride site at Langarth will remain closed.

Shuttle bus timetable

Buses will run every 15 minutes from 9.30am to 11.45am and again from 1.45pm to 4.30pm. Between 12.05pm and 1.25pm, the service will run every 20 minutes.

Return buses from Quay Street back to Tregurra will run throughout the day, with the final departure at 4.40pm. The Tregurra site will close shortly after the last bus returns.

Ticket prices are:

• Day Ticket: £2.50

• Family Day Ticket (2 adults, up to 4 children aged 5-15): £5.00

• Group Saver Day Ticket (up to 5 adults): £6.40

• Under 5s travel free

Tickets can be bought via the First Bus App or from the driver on the day. Multi-day and PLUSBUS tickets are also valid.

What’s happening at the Truro Classic Car Show?

The free event will run from 10.30am to 3.30pm across Truro city centre and feature a line-up of iconic vintage and classic cars including Triumphs, Mercedes, Morris Minors, Jaguars and more.

There’ll also be live music, automobilia stalls, autojumbles, and a small selection of new cars on display from local dealers. Macmillan Cancer Support will be collecting voluntary donations on the day.

The show is being brought to the city by Truro BID and is sponsored by Coodes Solicitors.

We hope that having the Park and Ride open will encourage more visitors and residents that need to drive to attend to the show and enjoy both the classic cars on display, along with city’s shops and eateries that are open.”
