Drugs Raid in Truro: Cocaine Seized and Woman Arrested
A 46-year-old woman has been arrested after police seized suspected class A drugs from a property in Truro earlier this month.
Police Execute Warrant After Reports from Public
The raid was carried out by officers acting on community concerns and reports of suspected drug dealing at the address. After gathering evidence, a warrant was secured under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The operation, which took place earlier in May, was led by the pro-active unit and Truro neighbourhood police team, supported by the Force Support Group. During the search, a quantity of suspected cocaine was seized.
Woman on Bail as Enquiries Continue
The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply. She is currently on police bail while investigations continue.
Police: “We’re Listening to Your Concerns”
Police Sergeant David Pearce said:
“I hope this sends a message to our communities that we’re listening to your concerns, acting on your reports and taking robust action against drug supply in our city.
“We will continue to conduct thorough investigations and take proactive action like this to make Truro a hostile place for people looking to commit crime.
“Your reports are vital in our investigations, they help to secure warrants, target our patrols and gather further evidence to put offenders before the courts. We’re listening, so please continue to come forward and report what you know.”
