Strengthening Truro Cathedral for the Future

Truro Cathedral is seeking strategic leaders to help shape its future as it continues to evolve to meet the needs of Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly, and visitors from further afield. To ensure the cathedral thrives in the years ahead, a call has been made for individuals from diverse backgrounds to join its governance team as charity trustees or committee members.

With the 150th anniversary of the laying of its foundation stone approaching in 2030, the cathedral is looking for people with relevant skills and experience to contribute to its success. Those interested in becoming part of this transformation are encouraged to submit their applications before noon on Tuesday 11th March. Join the Cathedral’s Volunteer Team

Alongside its governance roles, Truro Cathedral is also inviting people to become volunteers. A range of positions are available, from welcoming visitors to tending the gardens and assisting with events.

“Our dedicated volunteers are essential to everything we do,” the cathedral stated. Those interested in joining can explore the full list of opportunities, which includes:

Additional volunteer roles include flower arrangers, grass cutters, chaplains, welcomers, and VHS-to-digital conversion technicians.
