A30 Closure Update: Plans Change Ahead of Royal Cornwall Show

In a recent update from National Highways, the planned weekend closure of the A30 between Chiverton and Summercourt, scheduled for June 7-10, has been cancelled.

This decision comes as a relief for those planning to attend the Royal Cornwall Show, ensuring smoother travel throughout the event’s duration.

Overnight Closures Still in Effect

Despite the cancellation of the weekend closure, there will still be overnight closures on the A30 between Chiverton and Mitchell. These closures will continue until Thursday, June 6, with the road shut from 8pm until 6am each night.

National Highways has provided a diversion route for these overnight closures. Local access will be maintained north and south at Chiverton and via the B3284 at Chybucca. Additionally, the link from the A39 to the north will remain accessible via the B3285.
