Cornwall’s First Coastal Aparthotel: SeaSpace Opens for Bookings
Newquay, Cornwall – SeaSpace, Cornwall’s first coastal aparthotel, is set to welcome guests from October 2024.
Located just a five-minute walk from Porth Beach, SeaSpace offers a unique blend of laidback coastal living with design-led comfort, making it the perfect destination for travellers, locals, families, and remote workers.
Accommodation Options
SeaSpace features 56 self-catering spaces, including studios and two or three-bedroom apartments, designed for open plan living. Each space is equipped with a fully kitted-out kitchen, dining/work table, and lounge area, ideal for socialising, family time, working, or relaxing. A host is available to assist guests with practical queries and local tips, ensuring a seamless stay.
Community and Connection
The aparthotel’s vibrant lobby area hosts a café and deli, serving freshly baked bread, pastries, barista coffee, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The bar and restaurant offer woodfired pizzas, small plates, cocktails, wine, and beers, all with stunning ocean views. Guests can choose to dine in, take food to their apartment, or enjoy a meal on the beach. Additionally, a 24/7 self-service larder provides essential items like local dairy milk, oat milk, butter, and salt.
Wellness and Activities
SeaSpace offers a reimagined 19-metre pool with a 1920s Miami vibe, a children’s pool, a refurbished gym, and a busy fitness programme, all available with various membership options. Water enthusiasts can head to nearby Watergate Bay for surfing lessons and experiences provided by Wavehunters. The new partnership with UK Padel introduces a five-court padel tennis club, the largest in Devon and Cornwall, featuring three doubles courts and two singles courts, with two doubles courts boasting retractable roofs for year-round play.
Events and Workaway Options
SeaSpace will host a range of neighbourhood events, including live music, pop-ups, art expos, BBQs, and cook-ups, fostering a sense of community. For children, an outdoor maze and play areas provide ample entertainment. The aparthotel also caters to digital nomads and multitasking families, offering bright set-ups in each apartment and communal spaces for remote work, complete with excellent coffee and breathtaking clifftop views.
CEO’s Vision
Ben Harper, CEO of SeaSpace, shares, “SeaSpace will be stepping into new territory, moving away from the conventional hotel and self-catering accommodation models to put freedom and community first – without compromising on quality. We’re enjoying breathing new life into the space and look forward to creating a place where everyone feels like they belong.”
