‘WDS’ Tag Sprayed on Torpoint Properties in Spate of Criminal Damage
Police appeal for doorbell footage after multiple incidents
Police are appealing for doorbell footage following a series of criminal damage incidents in Torpoint. The targeted properties include vehicles and garage doors across the area.
The first reported incident took place on Monday 16th September, when a garage door on Wellington Street was both sprayed with graffiti and dented.
A few days later, on the evening of Saturday 21st September, a garage door was damaged on Antony Road. During the same evening, a second property nearby also had graffiti sprayed on its garage door and vehicle. The tag ‘WDS’ was found on the damaged properties.
Appeal for Information
Police are urging anyone who has had their property targeted or has information to come forward. They are particularly interested in hearing from residents with doorbell footage from the area.
It is believed that two suspects may have travelled along the service lane behind Antony Road and crossed Well Park Road on 21st September.
Anyone with relevant information or footage is asked to contact the police on 101 or via their website quoting the reference number 50240240621.
The community is being asked to remain vigilant as officers continue their investigation into the incidents.
