Bumper Crowds Enjoy 191st Stithians Show in the Sunshine
Perfect weather, packed attractions and rural charm at the 191st Stithians Show
A celebration of Cornish countryside life
Bumper crowds turned out for the 191st Stithians Show on Monday 14th July, as sunshine and blue skies set the scene for a packed day of competitions, performances and countryside displays. Known as one of the highlights of the summer calendar, the much-loved event once again drew visitors from across Cornwall and beyond.
With a strong focus on farming, food and Cornish rural culture, this year’s show offered plenty for families, locals and tourists alike to enjoy.
Animals, artisans and competition
The showground was alive with activity as visitors explored a wide range of trade stands, showcasing handmade crafts, local artwork and artisan food and drink. Popular with all ages, the event gave showgoers the chance to get up close and learn more about a wide variety of animals.
From sheep shearing to livestock competitions, agricultural traditions remained at the heart of the day, with tightly fought contests taking place across the site.

Entertainment across two stages
Live music from Will Keating, True Foxes, Treverva Male Choir and Andy Marshall brought energy and atmosphere to the show, with performances spread across two dedicated stages. The countryside skills demonstrations proved equally captivating, as expert craftspeople took to the ring to share their knowledge and techniques with the crowds.
New features for 2025
Two new additions proved popular at this year’s show. A demonstration ring of miniature steam vehicles drew curious onlookers throughout the day, while a series of informative horticulture talks offered advice and inspiration from experienced gardening experts.
Gratitude and plans for 2026
Claire Watters, General Secretary at Stithians Agricultural Association, said:
“It has been another fantastic Stithians Show and the weather played its part. We are so thankful to everyone who visited, competed, traded, and supported the show this year, and to the countless volunteers who make it all happen. We look forward to doing it again on Monday 13th July 2026 when the show returns.”
No further information has been released yet for the 2026 event, but organisers are already looking ahead to what promises to be another memorable day in the Cornish countryside.
