Recycled materials take centre stage

St Ives has revealed its vibrant new summer decorations for 2025, bringing fresh colour to the town and highlighting a strong message about sustainability.

This year’s eye-catching display includes new features made from recycled fishing gear. It’s a creative nod to the town’s coastal roots and reflects an ongoing commitment to protecting the environment.

The decorations are part of a wider move to cut down on single-use plastics, with repurposed materials used throughout the summer makeover.

Reusable cup scheme returns with a new look

Also launching this summer is a new colourway in the town’s popular reusable cups. The scheme helps both locals and visitors enjoy their summer drinks without adding to the waste problem.

Details about the cup scheme can be found on the St Ives BID website.

A summer of colour with a greener purpose

The decorations and cup scheme are both part of St Ives’ continued effort to protect the environment while celebrating the town’s identity. With even the decorations doing their bit, this summer is set to be both bright and sustainable.
