Who Are the New Faces on Your Beat? Meet the 3 PCSOs Set to Patrol St Austell
Three new Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are joining the neighbourhood team in and around St Austell, with a range of skills that local police believe will benefit the communities they serve.
New PCSOs Introduced
The update, shared by St Austell Police on Facebook, introduced James, Laura and Cameron as the newest additions to the team. From left to right in the photo posted, the trio bring with them experience from the British Army, customer service and retail.
Community Support with Experience
While their beats will eventually cover St Austell, St Blazey and the Clay Villages, each new PCSO will first be tutored by an experienced colleague for several weeks. The aim is to ensure they’re fully prepared before stepping into their roles independently later this summer.
The St Austell Police neighbourhood team welcomed the trio with the message:
“They’ve come with skills and experience from previous roles in the British Army, customer service and retail which will be of great benefit to the communities they will work in.”
