New Face in Town: Meet the New Neighbourhood Sgt in St Austell
Back to Familiar Ground
St Austell’s neighbourhood policing team has a new Sergeant – and it’s a name that might already be familiar to some. Martin Easter has stepped into the role, returning to the area after previously serving as a Police Officer in the town.
Martin joined Devon and Cornwall Police in 2010. For the first nine years of his career, he worked on one of the patrol teams in St Austell before being promoted and moving to Newquay, where he has spent the last five years as a Custody Sergeant.
Bringing Experience Back to the Beat
With over a decade of experience in front line policing, Martin brings with him a strong understanding of the challenges involved in policing the area – experience gained both from his previous time in St Austell and more recently in Newquay.
According to St Austell Police, Martin is keen to get out and about to reconnect with the local community. If you spot him while he’s out and about, feel free to say hello.
