Tylor Love-Holmes signs new deal ahead of 2025-26 season

Truro City has confirmed that defender Tylor Love-Holmes has signed a new contract with the club ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

The 20-year-old’s rise has been nothing short of impressive. Just a year ago, Tylor had wrapped up a Western League season with Saltash United, but a recommendation from former Truro promotion winner Marcus Martin set things in motion.

Pre-season break made

Tylor was given the opportunity to join the Tinners’ pre-season squad for the 2024-25 campaign and made the most of it, putting in a series of standout performances. That led to a move to Truro City Stadium last July, where he went on to make 20 appearances in a title-winning season.

A mid-season loan to Southern League side Plymouth Parkway helped reignite both his form and confidence. After being recalled in mid-March, Tylor was named in every matchday squad for the rest of the season, regularly contributing from the bench.

Looking ahead to full-time football

Speaking to trurocity.co.uk, Tylor said:

“It has taken me a long time to get here, but I am happy with where I am now.
My dream has always been to test myself as much as possible and this has been my dream for ages, to go full-time.
Next season you will see a different side to me because I will always want to be out on the pitch.”

The shift to full-time training is expected to benefit the squad, with Tylor adding:

“Going full-time will be a lot easier for some of the players because there were times last season when we would get back late from games, then have to go to work and then training.
That will tire anyone out before you think about away trips on Tuesday nights. It doesn’t help the cause, but now we will be able to get our bearings in a professional environment.”

Tylor’s story shows just how quickly things can change in football, with a leap from local league action to a professional setup in the space of a year. His focus now turns to making his mark in Truro City’s next chapter.
