Truro bring in former Exeter City midfielder on two-year deal

Truro City have confirmed the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Harry Kite on a two-year contract.

Harry joins the Tinners as a free agent after a spell with Yeovil Town at the end of the 2024–25 season. Having battled back from a long-term injury, the midfielder says he’s now ready to get back to regular football.

From Devon beginnings to promotion glory

Born in Crediton, Harry came through the ranks at SkyBet League One side Exeter City and made his debut in 2017 during an EFL Trophy clash against Yeovil Town. He went on to make over 100 appearances for the Grecians and was part of the squad that secured promotion to League One in 2022.

He left St James Park in the summer of 2024 but was sidelined by injury before making another move. He returned to action during the final month of the recent season with National League side Yeovil Town.

“A club going upwards”

Speaking to trurocity.co.uk, Harry said:

“I think it is a great time to come to Truro and I got that feeling after speaking with the manager and the assistant Yettsy. It will be a great place for me to continue playing my football and I felt it was a project I really wanted to be involved in – I am glad to be here.

“This is a club that, if you look at their trajectory, is going upwards. I played at Truro’s old stadium with other clubs and if I look at where the club is now, it is a huge stride forward in terms of infrastructure and what it is building.”

“I know a couple of the boys here and I have played against some of them too, so that should make it easy to gel and bed in with the group. I know the level I can play at and I back my ability. It was difficult for me last season because of injuries, but this is a club where I feel I can grow, develop my game and get plenty of football.”

The move marks Truro City’s latest addition as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
