Over £600 Raised for the RSPCA Cornwall
A match day collection held by representatives and supporters of RSPCA Cornwall when the Cornish Pirates played Hartpury at the Mennaye Field just before Christmas, helped raise over £600 for the important charity.
Lucy Chappell, speaking on behalf of the RSPCA Cornwall Branch, commented:
“A big thank you to the Cornish Pirates and to their generous supporters who enabled us to raise over £600 on the day.
“We were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met and were delighted that the Pirates also won an entertaining and closely fought match. Hopefully, we will be allocated another such collection opportunity in the future!”

RSPCA Cornwall is an independent charity, operating under RSPCA Branch rules and is run by a Board of elected Trustees. They are responsible for their own fundraising to run and maintain the Venton Centre at St. Columb and our various welfare campaigns in Cornwall. All money raised in Cornwall, stays in Cornwall to directly support the Rehoming Centre and the Branch’s animal welfare services in the County.
The Branch holds its own fundraising events and relies on support from sponsors, donations, legacies and money raised from our Charity Shops.
