Uninsured Vehicle Seized by Police in Saltash
Driver now facing £200 fine and 6 points on licence
A vehicle spotted driving around Saltash with no insurance was seized by police on Saturday evening, 12th July 2025.
Officers stopped the vehicle after it had been reported earlier in the week for having no valid insurance. When it was pulled over, checks confirmed the vehicle was indeed uninsured.
Vehicle Seized and Driver Penalised
The car was seized at the scene and will only be released once the owner can provide valid insurance and pay the storage fee. The driver now faces a £200 fine and 6 penalty points on their licence.
Police reminded motorists that driving without insurance can cause both financial and emotional distress to other road users, especially if there’s a collision. They also urged people to double-check their policies, even when borrowing or using someone else’s vehicle with permission.
“We will continue to take vehicles like this off the road to protect our community,” officers said.
