Man Left Unconscious in Saltash Assault – Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers Called to Fore Street on Friday Afternoon
Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Saltash that left a man unconscious outside The Brunel Inn.
Devon and Cornwall Police were contacted by the ambulance service at around 4pm on Friday 21st March after reports of a man being knocked unconscious during an incident on Fore Street.
It was reported that a fight broke out between two men before one of them was knocked unconscious. The injured man sustained injuries to his face and head.
Man Arrested and Released on Bail
A 34-year-old man from Saltash was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released on police bail.
Police Appeal for Information and Dashcam Footage
Officers investigating the incident are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or who may have been driving by and have relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact the police.
