RSPCA Cornwall Appeals for High-Value Treats to Train Dogs for New Homes
The RSPCA Cornwall Branch is reaching out to its community of dedicated supporters with a special request to aid in the training and care of dogs waiting for their forever homes. The branch has emphasised the need for what they term as “High Value Treats,” which are crucial in the training process for the dogs under their care.
Understanding the specific needs of these animals, the RSPCA has listed several items that would greatly assist in their efforts. These include blocks of cheese, tubes of Primula type squeezy cheese, tins or jars of hotdogs, packets of cooked ham or chicken, and tubes of liver paste or liver-based treats. These treats are not just for indulgence but serve a vital role in the training and rehabilitation of dogs, helping to prepare them for life in a new, loving home.
In addition to these training aids, the RSPCA Cornwall Branch is also seeking enrichment treats for the dogs. These include tripe sticks, Yak chews, and antlers or bullhorns. Enrichment treats are essential for the mental and physical well-being of the animals, providing them with necessary stimulation and enjoyment during their stay at the facility.
The branch has expressed profound gratitude for the ongoing support from the community, highlighting the importance of sharing their posts and contributing to the welfare of the animals. This appeal is another opportunity for animal lovers and supporters of the RSPCA to make a tangible difference in the lives of dogs who are on their journey to finding a permanent and loving home.
Those interested in contributing can provide any of the mentioned items, which will directly support the training and enrichment of the dogs in the care of the RSPCA Cornwall Branch, helping them become well-prepared for their future with a new family.
