Buzz in Redruth: Oddfellows Friendship Group’s Lively Gathering

The Redruth Oddfellows Friendship Group had a lively and enjoyable meeting at the Oddfellows Hall on Green Lane, Redruth, recently, where members and guests enjoyed an afternoon filled with activities, prizes, and camaraderie.

Presentation and Prizes

Kicking off the event, members were given a short presentation about the Oddfellows members-only advice service. Attendees also learned about the Oddfellows Extra Scheme, which offers discounts on a wide range of items, from groceries to insurance.

The excitement continued with a quiz that awarded ‘lucky dip’ prizes to winners. A prize raffle followed, with proceeds going towards a charitable fund that supports local causes.

Food, Fun, and Friendship

Accompanying the activities, participants enjoyed teas, coffees, and a selection of home-baked treats, including Cornish Hevva cake, biscuits, and fruit. A book swap also took place, and attendees received quiz sheets to take home.

Looking ahead, the group is hosting another event for members and potential members. The gathering will take place at the Oddfellows Hall on Saturday, 19th October, 2024, from 10:30 am to noon, where attendees can enjoy coffee, biscuits, and a small prize quiz.
