This summer, the Tropical Pressure Festival is set to captivate attendees with its unique blend of music, food, and environmental consciousness.
Located at the scenic Mount Pleasant Eco Park in Cornwall, overlooking the breathtaking Porthtowan Beach, this three-day extravaganza, taking place from July 12-14, has been recognised by The Times as the UK’s premier small festival. Celebrating the rich cultural tapestries of Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean, Tropical Pressure is an intimate festival known for its authentic vibe, diverse food offerings, and exceptional musical lineup.
New Themes and Positive Actions
The 2024 edition introduces “Movements” as its central theme, aiming to counteract contemporary challenges with community, collaboration, and positive action. Festival Manager Claire Marshall expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Tropical Pressure 2024 promises to be our most memorable yet.” The festival emphasises creative and cultural enrichment, striving to be an environmentally sustainable event. “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate diversity and community,” Claire added.

With a limited capacity of 3,000 tickets, the festival ensures a positive, dance-inducing, and life-affirming experience. Attendees can enjoy live music from around the tropical world, participate in free workshops suitable for all ages, and explore the sparkly wonderland of the festival’s nightlife with world-renowned DJs. The World Food Market will offer a variety of plant-based culinary delights, emphasising the festival’s commitment to sustainability.
The Movements Area
The newly introduced Movements Area promises to be a visually stunning space featuring a permaculture garden and a woodland area. It aims to inspire visitors with creative and empowering activities, highlighting the positive environmental actions being taken globally. This addition underscores the festival’s dedication to fostering a sense of responsibility and engagement with the natural world.
