Porthtowan Village Hall Hosts “Into the Wild” Film Night

Porthtowan Village Hall is set to transform into a movie lover’s haven on the evening of Friday, 23 February, with a special screening of the critically acclaimed film, “Into the Wild”. The event promises an engaging experience for attendees, opening its doors at 7 pm and offering a selection of bar and refreshments to enhance the viewing pleasure.

“Into the Wild” recounts the true-life story of Christopher McCandless, an Emory University graduate who, after achieving academic and athletic success, chooses to eschew societal expectations. In a bold move, McCandless donates his entire savings of $24,000 to charity and embarks on a journey to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Throughout his travels, he meets various individuals who leave a lasting impact on his life, making the story a compelling narrative about the search for meaning and freedom.
