Over 39 Bags of Rubbish Cleared in Just 4 Hours

Volunteers from the Porthleven Environment Group have cleared an impressive 39 bags of rubbish during their Spring Keep Britain Tidy litter pick – but it was an unusual discovery that really caught attention.

The group thanked those who turned out for the second part of the clean-up, which saw an astounding 22 bags of litter collected. That brings the total from both sessions – just four hours in total — to a staggering 39 bags.

Unexpected Discoveries

While picking up litter is always unpredictable, volunteers were surprised to find some bizarre items along the way.

Among the waste removed were:

• Three car alternators

• One garden chair

• One duvet

• One petrol can

• Two large cans

But the most curious discovery came in the form of over 30 security tags, all found in one single spot — raising questions about how they got there.
