Police Appeal: Serious Collision on A393 Near Ponsanooth

A woman remains in hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving two vehicles on the A393 between Lanner and Ponsanooth on Saturday afternoon.

Two Vehicles Involved

The crash, which happened shortly after 2pm on 7th June, involved a silver Toyota and a blue Hyundai. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the driver of one of the vehicles, a woman from the Falmouth area, was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske for treatment. Police confirmed she sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Three other people involved in the collision suffered minor injuries.

Road Closed for Investigation

The road was closed while officers from the Roads Policing Team carried out an investigation. It was handed over to highways at around 4.40pm.

Police have thanked members of the public and local residents for their patience during the closure.

Appeal for Dashcam Footage

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward to help with their investigation.
