Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club Seeks Community Support for New Defibrillator

The Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club has taken to social media to appeal for community support in their effort to raise £1500. This fund is earmarked for the replacement of a vital piece of lifesaving equipment: a public access Defibrillator, along with an extreme environment cabinet to be located outside the Club.

Understanding the critical role that a defibrillator plays in emergency situations, particularly in cases of cardiac arrest, the Club has emphasised the need for this essential equipment. The new Defibrillator and its protective cabinet are intended to enhance the Club’s preparedness for emergencies, especially given its proximity to the beach where such incidents may occur.

In their appeal, the Club has encouraged community members who can spare a contribution, even as little as “a couple of quid,” to follow a provided link and make a donation. The Club has expressed gratitude in advance for any support received from the community.

This initiative highlights the Club’s dedication to safety and its proactive approach to ensuring that lifesaving equipment is readily accessible to both its members and the public in times of need.
