Perranporth Cliff Rescue: Dog Saved in Rope Operation

Technical Rope Rescue Saves Dog

Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team joined forces with St Agnes Coastguard Search & Rescue Team on Sunday, 24th November 2024, to carry out a rescue near Perranporth. The teams responded to reports of a dog that had slipped its lead and fallen over a cliff.

Emergency Call-Out at Lunchtime

The coastguard teams were tasked at 12:29 pm following the distressing incident. Acting swiftly, they implemented a technical rope rescue operation to retrieve the stranded animal.

Dog Reunited with Owners

Thanks to their expert efforts, the dog was safely brought back to the top of the cliff, unharmed, and reunited with its relieved owners.

The teams remind everyone to stay vigilant along the coast. If you spot anyone in difficulty, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard. Stay safe!
