As part of ongoing upkeep, several key memorials in Penzance and nearby areas received a fresh cleaning today, thanks to Crystal Clear Professional Cleaning Ltd, contracted by Penzance Council. The efforts included a polish for the statue of Sir Humphry Davy, the renowned chemist and inventor, and a careful clean for other notable monuments in the region.

Memorials Receive Fresh Attention

In addition to Sir Humphry’s statue, the Fisherman’s Memorial in Newlyn, the Eileen McGrigor Memorial, and the war memorials in Penzance, Newlyn, and Mousehole were all cleaned. This work comes as part of preparations for Remembrance Sunday, ensuring each monument is respectfully maintained.
