Penzance Food Festival Brings Temporary Closures to Penlee Park This Week
Residents of Penzance are being advised of temporary closures at Penlee Park this week as preparations get underway for the Penzance Food Festival. The council has announced that the lower end of the park will be closed on certain dates to allow for the setup and dismantling of the event.
What Areas Will Be Affected?
According to Penzance Council, the bottom end of Penlee Park, specifically from the tennis courts down, including the play park, will be closed on Thursday 12th September and again on Monday 16th September. These closures will ensure the smooth set-up and take-down of the food festival infrastructure.
While these areas will be off-limits, the rest of Penlee Park will remain open to the public. Visitors can still access the Memorial Gardens, Penlee House Gallery & Museum, and The Orangery Café, all of which will operate as normal during the festival period.
Apologies for the Disruption
The council expressed their regret for any inconvenience caused by these closures and thanked residents and visitors for their understanding during the festival preparations.
If you’re planning to visit the park on the affected dates, be sure to take note of the closures to avoid any surprises.
