Curry-Lovers Could Help Save Lives at Sea – Here’s How
A new fundraising effort is set to spice things up in West Cornwall this spring and summer, as the Penwith Bengali Welfare Association launches its first ever ‘Curry-thon’ in support of Penlee Lifeboat.
Four Dates, Four Restaurants
The ‘Curry-thon’ begins on 25th April at Le Raj in Albert Street, Penzance. The event then heads to India on Wendron Street, Helston on 29th May, followed by Anglo Asia on The Parade, Helston on 26th June, and wraps up at Little India on Market Jew Street, Penzance on 31st July.
Each venue will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a great meal while contributing to a vital cause.
Supporting Lifesaving Work
At the end of July, the Penwith Bengali Welfare Association has agreed to make a donation to support Penlee’s lifesaving operations.
“Our friends in Penwith Bengali Welfare Association are wanting to raise some funds for Penlee, hence the ‘Curry-thon’ was borne,” the organisers said.
“This is the first time that this has been done and we are most grateful to them for this opportunity.”
Book Early
Organisers are urging diners to book early to avoid disappointment and make the most of the opportunity to support Penlee while enjoying delicious cuisine.
“Do book early to avoid disappointment and treat yourself to a great meal while helping to raise funds for Penlee.”
