Huge Waves Crash Over Penzance Promenade

Storm Herminia has made an unforgettable impression on Penzance, sending huge waves crashing over the promenade yesterday. The dramatic scenes, captured by Penzance Council, also showed waves surging around the lighthouse on South Pier in Newlyn.

Residents and visitors alike witnessed the raw power of nature, but the storm’s performance might not be over yet.

According to the MET Office, the weather could intensify today as further warnings have been issued. With very strong winds expected to return, the council has urged everyone to take extra care.
