Appeal for witnesses and footage

Detective Constable Richard Haycock said:

“This was a violent assault using weapons that took place in broad daylight in front of people who were going about their day-to-day business.

“It is believed the victims and the suspects were known to each other and as such, there is no wider threat to the public.

“That said, this was a vicious attack and we are appealing to anybody who may witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to us, to get in touch. We would also like to hear from anybody who may have filmed it on either their phones or on their dash-cam as they drove by.”
