Residents in Par are being urged to stay vigilant after multiple reports of suspects attempting to open car doors in the area.
Police Investigating Opportunistic Crime
St Austell Police have confirmed that they have received several reports in recent days of individuals trying car door handles, potentially looking for unlocked vehicles. Officers are currently gathering evidence, and work on the investigation is ongoing.
Residents Advised to Secure Vehicles
Police describe these incidents as “opportunistic crime” and are urging people to remove any valuables from their vehicles and ensure they are locked to prevent theft.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour is encouraged to report it through the police website, by calling 101, or by visiting their local enquiry office.
St Austell Police will continue their work to identify those responsible, and further updates may follow as the investigation progresses.
