Rusted Metal and Abandoned Tent Found in Fistral Beach Clean’s First Beach Clean of 2025
A cool and sunny start to the year saw 15 volunteers come together for the first beach clean of 2025 at Fistral Beach. Armed with litter pickers and rubbish bags, the group tackled litter across the dunes, the beach itself, and the surrounding paths.
Clearing the Dunes and Beyond
The majority of the rubbish removed during the clean-up effort was collected from the dunes. Volunteers found and removed four bags of litter, an abandoned tent filled with assorted rubbish, rusted metal, and parts from lobster and crab pots. On the strand line, smaller items such as pieces of plastic and nylon cord were also cleared, further improving the area for visitors and wildlife alike.
A Collaborative Effort
The event was made possible with support from organisations including Keep Britain Tidy and Fistral Beach Bar, who helped back the efforts of the Fistral Beach Clean group.
