Overnight Vandalism Shuts Down Newquay Train Station Toilets
Newquay’s newly opened train station toilets were subjected to an act of vandalism overnight on the evening of the 5th July, leaving them unusable. The damage to the facilities means they will remain closed until replacement parts are ordered and installed.
Incident Under Investigation
The incident has prompted an investigation by the local authorities. CCTV footage covering the toilets is currently being reviewed in hopes of identifying the perpetrators. A police report has also been filed to support the investigation and bring those responsible to justice.
Impact on Public Convenience
The closure of these essential facilities will likely inconvenience passengers and visitors at the Newquay train station. The council has not yet provided a timeline for when the toilets will be operational again, pending the arrival and installation of the necessary parts.
Residents and travellers who rely on these facilities are advised to seek alternatives in the interim. The community is urged to report any information that may assist in the investigation to the local police.
