Project Eighty Three in Newquay crowned Best Bar in Cornwall

A popular Newquay venue has officially been named the Best Bar in Cornwall after taking home the Muddy Stiletto award.

Project Eighty Three, located in Wesley Yard, has earned praise for offering more than just live music. In its first year of trading, the bar has blended culture, food, motorbikes and good vibes to become a favourite with both locals and tourists.

“Blown away” by support

The founders of Project Eighty Three said they were “absolutely blown away” to receive the accolade so early in their journey.

“We never imagined how far our vision would go or how much support we would receive in such a short time,” they said.

“This bar started as a dream, and the way the community has embraced it has been nothing short of incredible. We’ve grown faster than we ever expected, but more importantly, we’ve seen how the space has become a lifeline for some—helping people reconnect, find joy, and feel part of something again. It’s been described by some as life-changing, and we’re deeply honoured to have made that kind of impact.”

They added: “This recognition is not just for us, it’s for every single person who’s supported us, believed in our vision, and made this journey possible. Thank you… we’re just getting started.”

A hub of activity in Wesley Yard

Since opening, Project Eighty Three has become home to a busy events calendar. Highlights include Newquay’s monthly farmers market, an alternative market, weekly Bike Nights and a regular Cinema Night.

Its community-focused approach has made it the ideal spot for everything from an afternoon cup of tea, to dinner with friends in its suntrap rear garden, or letting loose and dancing the night away.

Project Eighty Three’s award win underlines its growing reputation as one of Cornwall’s must-visit venues.
