New Pumptrack in Nansledann Newquay to Host Exciting Skate Jam Event – Don’t Miss Out!

Nansledan’s latest addition, a brand-new pumptrack, will officially open with a bang on Saturday, 31st August, offering a day packed with fun, excitement, and activities for all ages. The highlight of the event, a Skate Jam, promises a thrilling experience featuring live music, rider demos, competitions, and a range of food and drink options. The best part? Everyone is invited!

A Day of Action-Packed Activities

The Skate Jam, hosted by Maverick Skateparks, who constructed the track on behalf of the Duchy of Cornwall, will run from 11 am to 4 pm. Attendees can look forward to demos, informal competitions, and dedicated sessions for scooters, skateboards, and BMX riders of all ages. The event aims to be inclusive, with all competitions designed to be fun and pressure-free. Location and Additional Attractions

The new pumptrack, located behind Skol Nansledan off William Hosking Road, is part of a broader effort to enhance recreational facilities in the area. The pumptrack adjoins ‘Slynk’—the latest adventure playground to open in Nansledan. This playground is one of six being developed by the Duchy of Cornwall, offering children a place to explore and play. In addition, a newly completed basketball court nearby provides another outlet for families and friends to enjoy the day.

Sam Kirkness, Nansledan Development Manager at the Duchy of Cornwall, expressed excitement about the event, noting the positive reception the new pumptrack has already received from the community. Sam encouraged riders of all ages from Nansledan, Newquay, and beyond to come and enjoy the Skate Jam.
