£680 Donation Made in Memory of Louise Hesketh

In a touching act of generosity, the Hesketh family has donated £680 to Newquay RNLI Lifeboats. The donation was made in memory of Louise Hesketh and was collected during the retiring collection from her funeral held in May.

A Lifelong Connection to Newquay

Louise, originally from Lancashire, first visited Newquay in 1966. This initial visit sparked a tradition, and the Hesketh family returned to the beloved coastal town every year until the pandemic. Louise’s husband, Jeff, along with their children John and Wayne, cherish fond memories of her enjoying Harbour beach and watching the lifeboats during their exercises and shouts.

A Special Place in Their Hearts

Newquay has always held a special place in the hearts of the Hesketh family. Louise’s frequent visits and her enjoyment of the lifeboats created a deep bond with the town. This donation is a testament to that enduring connection and the family’s desire to support the local lifeboat station that brought Louise so much joy.

Gratitude from Newquay RNLI

Gareth Horner, Lifeboat Operations Manager, expressed his gratitude for the Hesketh family’s support. He received the cheque from John Hesketh, who presented it on behalf of himself and his brother Wayne. This generous donation will aid Newquay RNLI in their vital operations, continuing the legacy of Louise Hesketh’s appreciation for their service.

The Hesketh family’s act of kindness is a beautiful tribute to Louise, ensuring her memory lives on in the community she loved so dearly.
