Cornwall residents invited for discounted ‘Locals Wild Weekend’

Newquay Zoo is offering a special deal for Cornwall residents this weekend, with ticket prices slashed to just £7.50 for adults and £5.00 for children. The discounted entry is part of the zoo’s Locals Wild Weekend, taking place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June 2025.

It’s a rare chance for local families to explore the zoo at a lower price, just before the busy summer season kicks in. Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance online at www.newquayzoo.org.uk.

Wild encounters at a lower price

The zoo is home to a wide range of popular animals, including red pandas, meerkats, sloths and Humboldt penguin chicks. Alongside the chance to see these species up close, visitors can hear talks from the ranger team and learn about the zoo’s conservation work both in the UK and overseas.

By making our zoo more accessible, we’re helping make that connection possible for more local families.”

A family day out for £25

Entry for two adults and two children will total just £25, making it an affordable day out for local families. Children under 3 and carers accompanying paying guests go free. All income from tickets, the shop, experiences, and memberships goes directly toward animal care and conservation efforts run by the zoo’s parent charity, Wild Planet Trust.

Membership options available

For those wanting to visit more often, annual memberships are also available. These include a joint option with Paignton Zoo and a lower-cost off-peak membership that was introduced last winter, offering good value for quieter times of the year.
