Lappa Valley Named Finalist in Prestigious Cornwall Tourism Awards – Will They Make It Three in a Row?
Lappa Valley, located near St Newlyn East, is celebrating its achievement of reaching the finals of the 2024-25 Cornwall Tourism Awards. The attraction is one of three that made it to the final round in the large visitor attraction of the year category, alongside the National Trust’s Lanhydrock and The Minack Theatre.
Tough Competition
Dozens of attractions from across Cornwall entered this highly competitive category. Lappa Valley has won gold in this category for the past two consecutive years, making this year’s nomination even more significant as they aim to continue their winning streak.
All finalists have been judged by a respected panel of experts, which included a mystery visit to each attraction. The winners will be announced during a ceremony at Truro Cathedral in November.
Pride and Gratitude
Keith Southwell, Lappa Valley’s owner, expressed his excitement at reaching the final once again. “To be in the final again, alongside such highly respected attractions like Lanhydrock and The Minack, really is an honour. We are extremely proud to be recognised in this way,” he said.
He also thanked the dedicated team at Lappa Valley and the visitors who support the attraction, adding: “We look forward to the awards in November, and wish the very best of luck to all our fellow finalists.”
A Celebration of Cornish Tourism
The Cornwall Tourism Awards celebrate the brightest and best businesses in the Cornish tourism industry. With so many outstanding entries, making it to the finals is a significant achievement for any attraction.
