Join the Pawsome Cause! Newquay Sponsored Dog Walk to Fund Urgent Surgery for Lily
This Sunday, 12th May, dog lovers and their furry friends are invited to take part in a sponsored walk at Newquay to help raise funds for a very special cause.
The event, set to start at 11 am, aims to support Lily, a dog in urgent need of complex ear surgery. All proceeds from the walk will go towards her veterinary care, with any additional funds raised being allocated to other dogs requiring urgent treatments at St. Francis Dogs Home.
Meeting Point and Route Details
Participants are asked to gather at the Trenance carpark, conveniently located at the bank of Newquay Zoo near the trampoline park. The walk will commence from this point, passing by the zoo and proceeding along Mount Edgcumbe Road and Cliff Road, eventually circling back towards the boating lake. The pleasant route concludes at The Garden Cafe Newquay, where walkers can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
How to Participate
Those interested in joining the walk are encouraged to inform the organisers at St. Francis Dogs Home of their participation. Additionally, walkers are urged to reach out to friends and family to seek donations for this heartfelt cause. This event not only offers a chance to contribute to a noble cause but also provides a great opportunity to meet the dedicated team from St. Francis and learn more about the dogs under their care.
About the Campaign
The sponsored walk is a crucial part of the fundraising efforts for Lily, whose condition requires immediate and expensive medical attention. The St. Francis team has set up a dedicated campaign page on JustGiving to facilitate donations. The link to contribute is here.
A Day of Community and Support
This event promises to be more than just a fundraiser; it’s an opportunity to meet other supporters of St. Francis and share a day filled with community spirit and love for dogs. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, grab your walking shoes and your dog’s leash, and come down to Newquay for a day to remember.
Make a difference in a dog’s life and enjoy a day out with fellow dog enthusiasts. Your support could save a life and give a dog like Lily a new lease on life.
