DHL Express Expands in Cornwall: £5.5M Newquay Facility to Boost Deliveries

New site to support growing demand in Cornwall and Devon

DHL Express has officially opened a new service centre in Newquay, investing over £5.5 million in a facility designed to enhance delivery services across Cornwall and Devon.

Increased Capacity for Growing Demand

With the rise in package deliveries in recent years, DHL identified the need for a larger facility to better serve businesses and consumers in the region. The 2,250 square metre site is expected to handle over 5,200 items every week, improving efficiency and capacity for both senders and recipients.

Carbon-Neutral Operations

The new site has been built with sustainability in mind and is operationally carbon-neutral. It features extensive solar panels, LED lighting, and low-use water appliances to reduce its environmental footprint. Additionally, EV chargers have been installed for both staff and visitors.

Improved Customer Access

A dedicated customer reception at the site will allow businesses and individuals to collect and send parcels directly through DHL Express.
