Deadline Approaching: Last Chance to Apply for Newquay Town Council Community Grant

Community groups and non-profit organisations in Newquay have just one week left to apply for a Newquay Town Council Community Grant for the 2024-25 financial year. Applications must be submitted by the end of September for a chance to secure funding.

Two Funding Windows for 2024-25

Newquay Town Council has two gateway windows each year for grant applications. The first window, which opened in June, saw applications being considered for funding allocations of £2,500 per committee. The committees involved in this process are:

• Environment & Facilities: Meeting on 9 July 2024
• Community & Tourism: Meeting on 18 July 2024
• Governance & Resources: Meeting on 30 September 2024

For those who missed the first window, there’s still time to apply in the second gateway window, which runs until the end of September. Successful applications will be reviewed in the following committee meetings:

• Environment & Facilities: 10 October 2024
• Community & Tourism: 17 October 2024
• Governance & Resources: 25 November 2024

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for a grant, community groups and non-profit organisations must meet the criteria outlined in the Town Council’s Grant Policy. If an application exceeds £1,000, the group will be required to give a 15-minute presentation ahead of the relevant committee meeting.
